What Everyone Must Know About the German U-Boat - This is written as two friends talking, and one is explaining the details of a U-Boat to the other. Drive system (diesel and electric), torpedoes, submerging, surfacing, firing topedoes by using the periscope, navigation, and steering the boat are all briefly explained.
It's not an operations manual, there are no great revelations in it about tactics. It is a simple manual, meant to describe U-Boat operations to young, draft-age Germans, and includes a few pages at the back about how and where to sign up for the Kriegsmarine. I believe this was meant for the high-school or trade-school graduate to entice them to enlist. Interesting, but not very technical.
